Hi, I’m Carissa Vivirito and I am the founder of Deja Jewel. For years now I have searched for, hunted, and bartered my way to an amazing jewelry collection. I am the ultimate bargain hunter, but I consider it more akin to treasure hunting. Looking for deals on things I love is always an exciting adventure for me.
I have been known to dumpster dive, but don’t worry, none of the awesome jewelry deals I find are from the trash.
I am constantly complimented on my unique jewelry and always get the question, “Where did you get that and where can I get myself one like it?” Until now, I really didn’t have a simple answer….

What’s with the name “Deja Jewel”?
- The obvious play on words “déjà vu”
- Translated, the concept of déjà vu meaning roughly “something already known or experienced”
- My concept applied to this collection of jewelry: “Wear the beauty that already lies within”
- The jewelry I select calls to me to be found, as if it already knows me
- And last, but not least, one of my dogs is named Deja, that’s a picture of us.
How I Select the Jewelry
I’m very picky and opinionated when it comes to selecting my favorites, I won’t recommend any old garbage- I’m frugal and love deals, so most of what I review and recommend is $99 or less, often WAY LESS than that!
- I ONLY review and promote SILVER, I HATE GOLD. Gold screams tacky to me. If you don’t agree, guess this ain’t the site for you!
- For the most part, I stay away from faceted gems. You will find some reviewed if I think they pass the “taste test“. Along with gold, I think faceted gems look cheap and pretentious
